The FIG Aerobic Gymnastics World Cup Cantanhede 2026 will once again welcome the Egyptian team, which returns to Portugal combining experience from previous editions with a new generation of athletes stepping onto the international stage.

Two familiar names from the Cantanhede FIG Aerobic Gymnastics World Cup 2024 will represent Egypt again this year: Basel Elzamek and Omar Elmranghy. Both athletes were part of the 2024 delegation that impressed the audience with strong technical quality and well-structured routines, developed under the supervision of Hungarian coach Éva Szloboda.
Their return to Cantanhede signals continuity in the Egyptian program, maintaining athletes who already have experience competing on the Portuguese stage.
At the same time, the 2026 delegation also introduces several new names making their debut at the event, including Moaz Aly, Bakinam Issa, Manal Mohamed, Malak Heda, and Omar Morgan. The mix of returning competitors and emerging athletes reflects Egypt’s effort to expand its presence and strengthen its development pipeline in aerobic gymnastics.
With proven technical guidance, returning athletes who already know the Cantanhede floor, and new talents eager to make their mark, Egypt arrives with an intriguing combination of experience and renewal.
What can we expect? 🇪🇬🤸♂️✨
