Over the past decade, Finland has shown remarkable growth on the international stage of aerobic gymnastics, establishing itself as one of the most consistent emerging nations in the sport. One of the biggest highlights came in 2022, when Nea Kivelä secured a bronze medal at the Senior World Championships, marking a historic achievement for the country. 🥉
Another major name in this journey was Sampo Kaasinen, who built an impressive path through the age group categories before reaching 2024 as one of the top names in Men’s Individual worldwide, delivering historic results for Finland. In 2024, Sampo arrived as a major promise for the sport, but also revealed through his social media his desire to pursue a career as a pilot, a path that demands great dedication and focus beyond gymnastics. ✈️
However, as part of a natural cycle of renewal, some of the nation’s biggest stars have announced their retirement in recent years. Among them are Nea Kivelä, Sampo Kaasinen, and also Nea Hukkanen, another important figure in the Finnish delegation.
Now, a new generation steps forward at the FIG Aerobic Gymnastics World Cup Cantanhede 2026. Leading this new phase is Jade Sirviö, who arrives as the main name of the Finnish team in 2026, competing in Individual, Trio and Group — a central role that highlights both her versatility and importance within the delegation. 🤸♀️✨
In the Group event, Finland will rely on the experience of Adeelia Koponen and Inka Kilpeläinen, while Ada Göcmen and Heta Haapanen complete the lineup, competing exclusively in this category and reinforcing the team’s collective strength.
With a legacy built on results and a new generation ready to take the spotlight, Finland enters a new era in Cantanhede — balancing tradition, renewal, and ambition on the international stage. 🇫🇮🔥🤸♀️
