Bulgarian gymnast Aleksandar Mishinkov is ready to don his "Iron Man armor" as he prepares to compete in the Aerobic Gymnastics Junior World Championships next week in Pesaro, Italy. In 2022, during his first year in the Junior category, Aleksandar made a remarkable impression at the World Championships in Guimarães, Portugal, clinching two medals—bronze in the Individual event and gold in the Mixed Pair competition alongside Hristiyana Zlatanova.
This year marks Aleksandar's final appearance in the Junior category, and he arrives as one of the favorites for a podium finish, both in the Individual event and Mixed Pair. His status as a frontrunner is well deserved, thanks to his impressive haul of medals at the 2023 European Championships and strong results in recent international competitions.
In addition to his individual and pair events, Aleksandar will also compete in the Group event, aiming to further contribute to Bulgaria’s success in the team category. As a key player in the team, his performance could help secure significant results for the Bulgarian squad on the world stage.
All eyes will be on Mishinkov as he embarks on what promises to be an exciting and emotional final chapter in his Junior career, with the potential to add more accolades to his already impressive résumé.
